The World War 2 movie “Dunkirk” topped the weekend box office with $50.5 million.      The raunchy chick comedy “Girls Trip” came in second with $30.4 million.  But the $200 million sci-fi flick “Valerian” bombed, taking in a mere $17 million . . . even though it featured RIHANNA on a stripper pole.  Oh well.

“Spider-Man” pulled in $117 million in its opening weekend, but only $45.2 million this past weekend . . . a 61.4% drop. Assuming those numbers hold, it’s the biggest second-week drop-off for ANY Marvel ‘Cinematic Universe’ movie.
