“Captain Marvel” Dominated the Box Office with $153 Million

That’s the seventh best opening for a Marvel movie in the U.S. . . . only “The Avengers” movies, “Black Panther”“Captain America: Civil War”, and “Iron Man 3” have opened better.  Here’s the weekend’s Top 10 . . .

1.  NEW:  “Captain Marvel”, $153 million

2.  “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World”, $14.7 million.  Up to $119.7 million in its 3rd week.

3.  “Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral”, $12.1 million.  Up to $45.9 million in its 2nd week.

4.  “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part”, $3.8 million.  Up to $97.1 million in its 5th week.

5.  “Alita: Battle Angel”, $3.2 million.  Up to $78.3 million in its 4th week.

6.  “Green Book”, $2.5 million.  Up to $80.1 million in its 17th week.

7.  “Isn’t It Romantic”, $2.4 million.  Up to $44.2 million in its 4th week.

8.  “Fighting with My Family”, $2.19 million.  Up to $18.7 million in its 4th week.

9.  “Greta”, $2.16 million.  Up to $8.3 million in its 2nd week.

10.  “Apollo 11”, $1.3 million.  Up to $3.8 million in its 2nd week.
