“The Dark Tower” Topped a Lame Weekend at the Box Office

“The Dark Tower” topped the box office, but it was a really SLOW weekend for movies.  It only made $19.5 million.  The HALLE BERRY thriller “Kidnap” opened in 5th place, with $10.2 million. 

Here’s the Top 10 . . .

1.  NEW:  “The Dark Tower”, $19.5 million.

2.  “Dunkirk”, $17.6 million.  Up to $133.6 million in its 3rd week.

3.  “The Emoji Movie”, $12.4 million.  Up to $49.5 million in its 2nd week.

4.  “Girls Trip”, $11.4 million.  Up to $85.4 million in its 3rd week.

5.  NEW:  “Kidnap”, $10.2 million.

6.  “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, $8.8 million.  Up to $294.9 million in its 5th week.

7.  “Atomic Blonde”, $8.2 million.  Up to $34.1 million in its 2nd week.

8.  “Detroit”, $7.3 million.  Up to $7.8million in its 2nd week.

9.  “War for the Planet of the Apes”, $6 million.  Up to $130.3 million in its 4th week.

10.  “Despicable Me 3”, $5.3 million.  Up to $240.8 million in its 6th week.
