Close, But No Grammy…

Zach Bryan got snubbed by the CMAs last week, and it almost happened again yesterday with the Grammys.  His song “Something in the Orange” DID get a nod for Best Country Solo Performance, but that’s it.

If he doesn’t win a Grammy this year though, he’ll be in good company.  Here are seven country LEGENDS who’ve never won . . .

1.  Eric Church.  Ten Grammy nominations.

2.  Kenny Chesney.  Nominated six times without a win.

3.  Blake Shelton.  Eight nominations, no wins.

4.  Dierks Bentley.  He’s in the top ten for most nods without winning a Grammy.  He’s been nominated for 14 and never taken one home.

5.  Martina McBride.  She’s tied with Dierks on that list.  14 and no wins.

6.  Bill Anderson.  He’s 85, been nominated three times before, and never won.  But maybe it’s his year.  His song “Give It Away” is up for Best Country Song.

7.  Patsy Cline.  But she did get the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1995, more than 30 years after she died.
