Coronavirus Insanity: Dog Owners Are More Likely to Get Coronavirus and More

Time to stop tongue kissing your dog.  A new study in Spain found dog owners are more likely to get coronavirus . . . and the researchers think it may be because dogs can contract the disease on walks and then pass it along.

2.  You can now use your frequent flyer miles to pay for a coronavirus test on Hawaiian Airlines . . . and if you test negative, you won’t have to quarantine for 14 days when you get to Hawaii.

3.  Believe it or not, 23% of people who have gone on cruises in the past say they’d go on a cruise right now if CDC guidelines were in place.  Only 13% of people say they’re not planning to ever go on a cruise again.

4.  The U.S. is now projected to have 300,000 to 500,000 fewer babies next year because of people deciding not to have babies because of the pandemic.

5.  Yep, with more restrictions all over the country, it looks like the toilet paper shortages could be coming back.

6.  Here’s how this wave of coronavirus is different than the earlier ones:  Now it’s really hitting rural areas, not just the big cities.  In fact, the smaller the area, the higher the cases per capita.

7.  Here’s a story from an ER nurse in South Dakota who says she sees a number of patients who are on their deathbed from coronavirus and still can’t believe it’s real . . . so they spend their last moments denying they’re sick instead of calling their family.

New daily cases in the U.S.:  162,149, with 739 new deaths.

Total cases in the U.S.:  11.5 million . . . with more than 252,600 deaths . . . and more than 7 million who’ve now recovered.

Total cases worldwide:  55.3 million . . . with more than 1.3 million deaths . . . and more than 38.4 million people who’ve beaten the virus globally.
