The Kix Crew

Shotgun was born in Albany, Georgia and joined his first radio station at the young age of 15 putting up records and learning from some great DJs. After high school, he joined The U.S. Army earned degrees from Maryland and Central Texas.

After that, he toured with such bands as Little Texas, Sawyer Brown and Robin Lee before returning to his first love of radio. In 2004 he signed on at WKAA 105.9 later to become 99.5 Kix Country. Although he has left to try other things he has returned to where it all began in Kix Country.

Hey, my name is Sari Rose and it’s nice to meet you.  I grew up in small town Georgia, but don’t let that fool ya. My parents are from New York so I’m more of a Southern Yankee (yes that can be a thing).  When it comes to football, however, I’m all southern girl…Go Dawgs!

My perfect day includes tailgating with friends, or long walks on the beach.  About that beach thing, I’d actually rather be on a lounge chair with a good book in one hand and a cold drink in the other. I live with my husband and three adopted fur babies.  When you see me outside of the radio station it will probably be at the gym or yoga studio.

Growing up, you knew you were in for it when you heard your first and middle name from your parents. Just assume you are in for it weekday afternoons with Saralynn, for just the same reason. A double name always spells trouble.

Somewhat sarcastic, slightly irreverent, and always ready with a story, you should tune in because you never know what she’s going to say. Country news and history, blessing people’s hearts, and a little bit of fun and good news sprinkled in, tune in on weekdays between 3 pm – 7 pm to catch it all. Oh…and there will probably be sports talk. And maybe a little spice and tea.
