Tim McGraw’s walks and Jon Pardi knocks a home run with “Ain’t Always the Cowboy”.

Jon Pardi has another hit with his fifth single with the release of “Ain’t Always the Cowboy”. But I almost didn’t make it to J.P. Tim McGraw heard it first and declined the song penned by Brandon Kinney and Josh Thompson. Jon grabbed it and it looks like another hit off of Pardi’s album, Heartache Medication.

After scoring four Top 5 singles—including three No. 1 hits—with his 2016 No. 1 album, California Sunrise, Jon topped the charts with Heartache Medication’s title track in February. Jon is also currently featured on Thomas Rhett’s new single, “Beer Can’t Fix.”
